Mr. Phil Brown , Pilkington Group Limited (Part of NSG Group)
Phil joined Pilkington (now part of the NSG Group) in 1987 and worked in several functions of the company, including Coatings R&D. In 1991, he joined the Technical Sales Laboratory, which was primarily involved in product approval testing. He later moved across to the Technical Advisory Service (UK & Ireland) and became its Manager in 1998. In 2004, Phil became European Standards Development Manager, part of the role of which has included overseeing the implementation of CE Marking of Pilkington’s products across the EU. For the past few years, he was has been Global Regulatory Marketing Manager for the NSG Group, which involves him in activities such as monitoring and assessing the impact of new and forthcoming directives and national building regulations.

He has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Applied Physics and is the UK representative on several European and International Standards Technical Committees for glass in building.

Phil became President of the Glass and Glazing Federation, the UK’s most prominent industry sector trade association, on 1st January 2010.

Phil is married to Karen, they have two sons, Nathan (6 years old) and Luke (4), and live beside the sea in Southport, in England, which was once referred to as the Paris of the North West. When time permits, Phil enjoys drinking wine and watching (but not playing) Rugby League.

 
     

     
     
 

Ar. Chan Seong Aun, Deputy President of PAM Council 2011-2012,Hon. Secretary of MGBC 2011-2012

Ar. Chan Seong Aun is a senior practicing Architect and Director of Arkitek Daya Seni Sdn Bhd; is an architectural firm established in 1985.

Ar. Chan Seong Aun graduated with a B Arch (Hons) and M Arch (Distinction) from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. His interest in Low Energy Architecture started in the early 1980s when he was offered a grant to carry out research on the energy requirements of New Zealand schools which led to his submitting a thesis for his Master of Architecture. Since then he was continued to develop and promote energy conservation for building projects.

Ar. Chan was a member of the SIRIM Working Committee that updated Ms 1525:2001 to its latest 2007 version. He was also the PAM representative on the CIDB Working Committee that updated CLASSIC to CIS7:2006 its 2006 version. He has represented PAM in various committees in KPKT, KeTTHA and SIRIM. Ar.  Chan Seong Aun has been a PAM Council member from 2004 to 2009. Ar. Chan is the Co-Chairman of the PAM Sustainability Committee that developed the GBI and is also the pro-team Hon. Secretary of the Malaysia Green Building Confederation (MGBC).

Ar. Chan is also the Team Leader for the GBI Residential Tool.

 
     

     
     
 

Mr. Kevin Moens, Market Manager Europe & Asia of Solutia Inc.
With more than 10 years experience in the glass industry, Mr. Kevin Moens leads efforts for the Saflex business in understanding the global architectural glazing market, its trends and their impact on the business. These activities result in the launch of new products or service offerings that meet and exceed customer expectations.

Beginning his career at AGC Europe, Mr. Moens has a broad background in the glass industry. As a technical specialist & façade project engineer he developed technical & commercial expertise in tempered, laminated, coated and insulating glazing at AGC Europe’s building division.

Transitioning from AGC to Solutia in 2007, Mr. Moens began his career with Solutia as a Market Technical Service Specialist and since has held several roles of increasing responsibility. He has a Masters degree in Civil Engineering & an MBA from Leuven University, and currently resides in Brussels, Belgium with his wife
